A Check In with Angie Hicks

I spoke to Angie Hicks of Angie’s List a little while ago about the Battery Ventures $35 million (minority) investment and what it might be used for. She told me that Angie’s List wasn’t looking for money but got introduced to Battery and things clicked, so to speak. She said the money is going to be used to expand in the US, as well as Canada (Q3 or Q4) and the UK (2009). That expansion will also include some consumer marketing apparently. MojoPages Defies the Odds

Grayboxx sold its assets after less than a year in the market. Arguably Judy’s Book and InsiderPages were sold before their time. Backfence and Edgeio shut down after running out of funds.
